Is there a way to show the names of living persons to Public? I can't seem to find a way.
Thanks!

Yes, of course, that is possible.
When you are logged in in the back end, go to "name display" in the joaktree component.
Look for the item "name (privacy filter)", which is default the first item in the list. When you click on the values in the columns, these values will change (rotate).
For this item you need the following settings:
published -> yes
Access level -> public
Access living person -> public
Alternative text -> none
When you are done, the explanation column will show:
Person is NOT LIVING: NAME (PRIVACY FILTER) is shown for Public, Registered, Special.
Person is STILL LIVING: NAME (PRIVACY FILTER) is shown for Public, Registered, Special.
Good luck.

Hi,
O have the same problem, followed your instructions and still do not see the names of the persons. Moreover, i can not see the names in the back-end either, even when logged in with super admin.
I want to show the names (no matter whether living or not) just to registered. But i cant do it at all.
Check database

If you don't see the names in the back-end, I suppose that the GedCom file is not loaded properly.
1. You can check in your database whehter the table "Joaktree_persons" has any records.
2. What is the response when you process your GedCom file. The message will tell me the result of this action.

The table "Joaktree_persons" has records, but instead of name in the "firstName" fields i have "[Living]".
I processed the GedCom file once again and this is the message:
"start:04:14:07++Import is finished[objects:11+lines:84]+persons:5+families:2+sources:0+repositories:0+notes:0++Assign family trees is finished+end:04:14:07"
Thanks for swift reply :)
