Here you can download the latest version of the Joaktree component for viewing genealogical data in Joomla! 1.5. The installation is described in the manual.

Note. Joaktree versions for Joomla 1.5 will be supported until January 2012.

The latest version is v1.2.9 (date: June 2011).
In version 1.2.5 new features are added (see wishlist for details). In versions 1.2.6 to 1.2.9 some specific bugs are fixed (which troubled some, but not everyone). 

There are four zip-file for you to choose from

1. For installing Joaktree for the first time;
2. For upgrading from version 1.2.2, 1.2.3, 1.2.4, 1.2.5, 1.2.6, 1.2.7, 1.2.8 to version 1.2.9;
3. For upgrading from version 1.2 or 1.2.1 to version 1.2.9;
4. For upgrading from either version 1.1 or 1.1.1 to version 1.2.1
   (Note: there is no version for upgrade from 1.1/1.1.1 to 1.2.8.)
   When you upgrade, you can follow the normal Joomla installation procedure.
   

When you upgrade from version  smaller than 1.2.4 to version 1.2.9 you have also upgrade - if you have installed them - the following extensions

• Search plugin for searching in names and notes in your genealogical data.
  (v1.1.0 is compatible with Joaktree component v1.2.4, v1.2.5, v1.2.6, v1.2.7, v1.2.8 and v1.2.9; please, uninstall v1.0.0 first before installing v1.1.0).
• Module for showing related articles.
  (v1.1.0 is compatible with Joaktree component v1.2.4, v1.2.5, v1.2.6, v1.2.7, v1.2.8 and v1.2.9)
• There is also a newly added module for showing historic events from your genealogical data (v1.0.0; it is compatible with Joaktree component v1.2.4, v1.2.5, v1.2.6, v1.2.7, v1.2.8 and v1.2.9).

When you use Joomfish you want also to download the Joomfish content element file. Unzip it and install the contents in the directory administrator/components/com_joomfish/contentelements

Users of Joaktree created translation files for the following languages:

• French (last updated: 29 October 2010)
• Polish (last updated: 31 October 2010)
